A person who loves Legos will normally have Legos all over the place. They may have a special Lego room, or area. For some their whole house is a Lego room. If working with Legos is time spent bonding with other family members, Legos will get lost. Sometimes they are used to make something unrelated to a project but still very cool. A person doesn't want to have to destroy a great piece of Lego art for the unauthorized Legos that have been used in its' creation.

Depending on the types of Legos that are needed one may have an easy time getting them or need to do some detection. For a specific piece or part, one can usually call Lego and get the part that is needed. But when a lot of parts are needed, one will want to have a source that has the pieces at an affordable rate.

For a person who just wants to increase their Legos and doesn't care about the color, there are new 1200 Bulk packs sold that contain pieces that include fixtures, implements, and bricks. These pieces are not themed and all of the colors aren't in the box. But, for a person who just needs some extra Legos for a foundation or other project where color won't matter, it's a great choice.

If bulk Legos are needed for a themed set, one can find some theme bulk Legos on-line. There are some theme bulk packs sold in stores but they are limited. The most popular bulk theme pack being sold is Star Wars. A person will need to find parts for some of the older themes one of the on-line sites or Lego.

One option to get bulk Legos that are not theme specific is to go to a local Lego store and purchase them from the Lego wall. These are random, multi-colored Legos of different sizes. On-line sites also sell bulk Legos this way. Also, most on-line sites sell bulk Legos that are used. The price for this is significantly less than for new Legos.

If a person needs a color other than red, yellow, green, blue, black, or white, then it will be necessary to get creative. One option is to buy a bulk pack and then sell the pack after picking out the color(s) that are needed at auction. If doing this, it will be good to know that ten pounds of Legos equals about 3000 different sized pieces. The other option is to buy the bulk pack and give it to a family member after getting the color(s) out that are needed. The family member will appreciate the gift and probably won't notice that some of the colors are missing. - 31409
