When it comes to the evil side of the Transformers universe, Megatron is the epitome of deception. However, he always allows Starscream to stand next to him and relies on the other robot to perform important functions on his behalf. Only when Starscream outright betrays Megatron does the latter finally strike back. That doesn't mean these two haven't had it out, both physically and verbally. Transformers Starscream is the ultimate ambitious backstabber and does everything he can to betray Megatron. He is very vocal about how he feels Megatron is too much about brute force, whereas Starscream prefers speed and guile.

The few times he's had the chance, he has grabbed for the reins of the Decepticon army and held on as tightly as he could. Fate always has another plan for Transformers Starscream though.
