If you haven't turned on your television in a while or maybe were just out of the country, than it's possible that you haven't yet heard about the newest craze in children's toys that is sweeping across the country. You may be surprised that it's not a video game, but actually a hamster! Well it is an electronic, interactive toy hamster called a Zhu-Zhu Pet that delights kids by whirling, spinning, scooting and scampering around bedroom floors and and kitchen tables without the care needed to maintain a real pet hamster.

As the shopping season draws nearer, many parents are finding that they are hearing an awful lot about the new electronic toy that is already next to impossible to find, called Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters. Seen by millions of children on the internet and television through it's fun commercials, it quickly became one of the most talked about toys in the last few years. With kids trying to build up a collection of these interactive pets, they are flying off the shelves of toy stores more quickly than can be restocked.

The Zhu-Zhu pets have colorful names and the toy creators have given each of the pets it's own distinctive quirks and traits, adding a nice variety of personalities to the mix. Numnums seems to be in constant search of something to eat, while Chunk enjoys relaxing and is a bit more mellow than the other hamsters, Pipsqueek likes to keep you on the move as he is probably the most active of the bunch, Mr. Squiggles is the trouble-maker of the group and seems to forever be getting into some kind of trouble. The real fun begins when you put them all together and add in some of the other available accessories and playsets like the Zhu-Zhu Pets Funhouse. This is when they are able to really show how much fun can be had together as a group.

Zhu Zhu pets operate in one of two different modes, the Explore Mode or the Loving Mode. The Loving Mode lets children hold and pet them while they chatter and purr in response to your child's interactions. While using the Explore Mode, the hamsters become more active, sliding across the floor, spinning around and bumping into walls and even the other hamsters themselves.

If you have a child that you think is going to be asking for one of these adorable pets for the holidays and you would hate to see them disappointed, start shopping early as they are going to be nearly impossible to find in the coming months! - 31409
